Water Clock comprises of two little dots telling the time

water_clock.jpg Now putting some physics to really good use can reap astonishingly stunning results. For instance we have this cool Water Clock. It comprises of a little, square platform and two tiny magnetic balls. The base platform controls the magnetism of these balls in such a way that the red one shows the hour and the white one shows the minutes. So, if you want to see the time while staring into a cup of water, all you have to do is place the cup on top of the base platform, fill it with water and drop both these balls into it. They will move around denoting the time, as controlled by the base platform. You can try different surfaces on the base platform, including your palm (given that you’re really skinny).

Though the Water Clock barely consists of anything, it’s the idea that’s expensive and deservedly so. It is available for $299.
