Wait for new iPhone at WWDC ‘09 may be in vain

iPhone.jpg I know I’m not making your day be saying this, but hell, it’s the truth. While we all sat with bated breath in wait for the new iPhone to come in our midst, an analyst named Gene Munster from Piper Jaffray has said exactly the opposite. “We do not anticipate the launch in early June,” he said. “We continue to expect multiple models, possibly a high-end iPhone with improved specs from the current version and a low-end version with lower capacity and fewer features along with a reduced pricing plan. Such a model could also be used in Apple’s launch of the iPhone into China as soon as the end of summer ‘09.”

The WWDC 2009 was likely to be the best place for Apple to release their latest iPhone, on the 8th of June. However, we may now have to wait for a couple of weeks for more on the same. Tsk, tsk.
