Virus bogs down Space Station lappies again

virus-effect.jpg Rouge Viruses for stealing passwords and sending them to a remote server infected laptops in the International Space Station in July. What's shocking is that is not an isolated incident. Apparently an attempt had been made earlier to infect them. Strange, if the epitome of security can fall prey to such vicious attempts, then us guys have no chance against hackers. NASA belittled the news, calling the virus a "nuisance" that was on non-critical space station laptops used for things like e-mail and nutritional experiments. News is that the worm W32.Gammima.AG worm infected the lappies. The International Space Station has no direct internet access, but astronauts can send and receive mail though a KU band data link, which is also used for data and video transfer.
