US Army develops undies which monitors the soldiers vitals

us-military-2.jpg U.S. military seem to be smitten by fancy technology at the moment for they have been reported to be developing on digital ‘smart underwears’ capable of monitoring a soldier’s vital statistics such as heart rate, skin temperature, respiration, and heart rate. We have seen smart TVs. Phones and even thermostats but smart undies are definitely top of the heap stuff. Researchers at the U.S. Army Medical Research and Material Command and the Telemedicine & Advanced Technology Research Center are developing these high tech garments which use gel-free sensors and gather the collected vitals from a soldier and transfer to a central system which allows uninterrupted monitoring training soldiers on and off the battlefield.

This helps in recognizing soldiers with balanced vitals during stressful simulated scenarios. They can be then commissioned on missions with a greater degree of difficulty. These battle-briefs were developed by both USAMRCM and TATRC in conjunction with Foster-Miller and Malden Hills and have cited comfort as of paramount concern. I wonder if these would be eventually tossed for general public use for such garments would be of great help when taking care of senior citizens or patients.
