Unlocked iPhone coming to India soon

Here we are struggling in our lines or hiring people to get us the latest iPhone, but the lucky blokes in India seem to have an efficient network in the gray market that has already devised ways of crackling the code…err…rather unlocking the phone so that users can use the phone with their home networks. All this fuss is because the iPhone wont be out in India till late next year, and rich, gadget crazy Indians can't patiently wait till the official release. Some celebs in Mumbai have already placed orders for the phone via friends and are happy to use it as an iPod till the official network starts (aye, sure and I'm the Queen of England). Back home in States, Apple has tied up with AT&T in an exclusive contract. Thus the phone works on an AT&T SIM, but the gray market dealers say they can "unlock" the phone for just Rs 1,000 or Rs 1,500 so that it can be used on any network in India. To compare prices, the iPhone ranges between $500 (Rs 22,000) for the 4 GB version and $600 (Rs 25,500) for the 8 GB here, but the entry-level iPhone will be available for Rs 30,000 in India.
While those in India who wait for the Unlocked iPhone, ponder on this info: the HTC Touch will be available in India for Rs 19,900 ($ 500), Samsung's Ultra Smart F700, Nokia's N-series with N76 and E90 communicator phones will all arrive before the iPhone. The LG Prada, which costs around Rs 42,000 ($ 1000) outside India, is already available out there.

First of all, your stupid pic of showing indians as wearing saffron stuff is useless. India, as you may know is already giving quite a hard time to US and UK by its growing economy, see how Dollar has fared against rupee in last 1 year. Check your facts and then post an article, OK?
