This is one radio I would love to buy and if there is a TV that can do the same thing I would go for it too because what I hate to see is commercials. Not that I despise them totally but the frequency is so much that you have the feeling that you are seeing a channel just for the commercials. It is so annoying and I guess Hammacher and Schlemmer either realized it by themselves or someone must have told them if they could do something about this. So what they have brought out is a radio that is able to eliminate commercials and disc jockey banter to provide uninterrupted music playback at home or by using the detachable MP3 player. What you have to do is just select your favorite channel and the radio will learn the pattern of the ads within 2 or 3 days. Now isn’t that intelligent! When the learning period is over, it automatically records songs and uploads them to the included portable MP3 player. The table radio uses digital signal processing and a couple of 3-inch speakers to deliver crisp and clear sound. When you purchase the system for $250, you will get headphones as well.
