Apparently Apple is planning on releasing its 13" ultra-portable MacBook at the Macworld Expo and Conference 2008. The new one will be smaller than the current 15" MacBook Pro (in terms of screen size) by merely 2". It is slated to be almost 50% lighter as well as much slimmer too. Besides the minimalist design, this new 13" MacBook will be sans the traditional optional disc drive, so you'll have to carry a portable extra one incase you tend to transfer plenty of media from a CD or DVD over to your MacBook. Some of the specs include the adoption of new 13" LCD panels that boast LED backlights and integrated NAND flash drives.
