TV on Nintendo DS ?

At the Nintendo DS Conference an interesting announcement was made, the DS ground wave digital broadcast reception card. It is a card with a rod antenna which allows your DS to receive Ground Wave Digital broadcasts. The card connects to the slot for DS cassetes. The rod extends on the reverse side of the LCD display so you can place the DS on a stand and enjoy TV. It is called Ground Wave because transmission is done from the ground usually from transmitting stations. You can do channel selection via the secondary display. With the reception card you can enjoy television on your Nintendo DS almost anywhere even when driving. The service currently limited to some parts to Japan will eventually be available in all parts of Japan.

No information is available if Video recording via the Reception card is supported.
