Train chatter to reduce as a new film blocks all communications

Yappers2.JPG The way you use your personal electronics may be hazardous to your health, as a couple of recent reports remind us. On the other hand, these reports show us the ugly picture of using our beloved mobile phones as being life threatening in some severe cases. It’s not uncommon for us to be held captive in a train full of constantly blabbering mobile phone yappers. This may soon change if as some train companies have introduced 'quiet' carriages in an attempt to give passengers a break from the racket. "Wannabee" users can sit in special mobile phone user carriages - just as we have smokers to cause all the havoc they want to without bothering the snoozers on board. The trouble comes when passengers switch loyalties inside the Quiet wagons and officials are faced with the dilemma of fining them. The firm, C2C, has come out with a unique film that coats these quiet wagons with phone blocking features that simply disable a passenger’s phone. C2C, which runs services between Essex and London, now has put in place this film and is reaping the benefits.

The film, which allows light through but blocks Wi-Fi, radio and phone signals, were developed by US scientist, for firms that needed to stop outsiders tapping into sensitive internal wireless communications.
