Toyota’s robotic orchestra

by Dhiram Shah

If Honda’s Asimo can conduct a symphonic orchestra then arch rival Toyota cant be left far behind. Harry, Dave, Ritchie and Chuck the robotic quartet from Toyota performed three songs at a concert. Harry the quartet’s leader and Chuck are two legged robots whereas Dave and Ritchie are motorcycle or two wheeled robots. Instruments played by them included the trumpet, tuba, percussion and bass drum. The first track performed was The theme of Lupin III followed by ‘Moonlight Serenade’ by Glenn Miller and ‘The world only one flower’ a popular Japanese song.
