Toyota fits in Solar panels on new Prius line

Toyota.JPG Toyota seems to have taken its green act pretty seriously; it has now announced the newest version of their Prius hybrid vehicle, due out in Japan in May, which will be equipped with solar panels. The panels, supplied by Kyocera Corp, would be able to power part of the air-conditioning on high-end versions of the gasoline-electric Prius; these will eventually end up saving 10% on fuel.

The new Prius will be on sale in Japan soon priced between $21,000 and $26,000.
