Toyota Japan has announced that it will launch eight new models of car navigation systems available as dealer-installed options on May 8, 2006. In addition to a 9 inch LCD for rear set, digital terrestrial TV tuner which allows you to watch Digital broadcasts on the move, reception tuner for mobile broadcasting service "MobaHO!" (a Mobile satellite digital audio/video broadcasting service in Japan) and iPod connection cable are also available as options. The car navigation systems come in five HDD and three DVD models. The HDD models will have a 40GB hard drive for storing ripped cd's, DVD video playback and 5.1ch virtual surround sound and a 7 inch display monitor as the standard specifications.

The HDD and DVD models are priced at from ¥216,300 to ¥321,300 and from ¥157,500 to ¥195,300, respectively.
