Move aside Bluetooth and Infrared here is Touch Message a new technology for mobile phones. 'Touch Message' uses the Felica chip for transferring content. Those of you not aware of Felica it is a contactless RFID chip embedded in the phone which allows the use of a phone like a credit card. Using the Touch Message a user can transmit text messages, profiles, images etc wirelessly to other Felica equipped mobile phones. However DRM hell applies here as you cannot transfer copyrighted material, BMP, and Flash files. The second generation Felica chips scheduled to roll out by Spring 2007 support data speeds upto 424 kbps.
