Toshiba Matushita Display Tech Japan has unveiled a 12.1 inch wide display which is only 2.9mm thick. It supports a resolution of 1,280 x 800 dot (WXGA) and uses low temperature polysilicon liquid crystal. The super efficient display is designed for use with notebooks and has 300 cd/m2 brightness. The display weighs 182 grams which is 32% lighter than traditional notebook LCD screens.

The unit measures 270 × 2.9 - 4.5 × 180mm.
