T-Mobile lets loose Jet modem and T-mobile Tap on us
T-Mobile has released the Jet modem that acts as a webConnect device. It hooks up to T-Mobile’s 3G network and offers connection to T-Mobile’s Wi-fi hotspots. It also serves as a flash drive, has microSD expansion and supports quad-band GSM/EDGE roaming along with dual band UMTS/HSDPA access. There’s also a T-Mobile Tap that’s expected to come our way. It will serve as a touchscreen handset that will hook on to T-Mobile’s web2go service. It will also have a 2 megapixel camera, a media player, a-GPS and A2DP Bluetooth.
The Jet modem will cost $30 with a monthly plan that can reach data volumes of up to 200 MB. You can get a 5 GB volume for $50. The Tap will retail for $80 after a 2 year contract.
