The year has barely begun and Sony Ericsson has already announced two new phones namely the C510 and W508. With slick good looks the C510 brings with it the new SE feature i.e. the Smile Shutter feature. This technology allows the camera can to detect a person’s smile and immediately takes a photo. Smart eh? For those not interested in buying the C510 but interested in the Smile Shutter, the SE feature will be embedded into the 8MP C905, by means of software upgrade.
Three versions of the C510 will be available from this quarter in the colours of Radiation Silver and Future Black - Sony Ericsson C510 with quad band GSM and HSDPA 2100 connectivity, Sony Ericsson C510a with quad band GSM and 850/1900/2100 HSDPA connectivity and Sony Ericsson C510c with tri band 900/1800/1900 GSM connectivity only. Jumping onto the second slick handset – the Sony Ericsson W508 in all its glory simply put is a Walkman. Following the footsteps of its competition, the Nokia’s Supernova phones, the W508 comes with an extra Style-Up cover that can change its look. With two versions of this walkman phone to be available in the second quarter of 2009 - Sony Ericsson W508 with quad band GMS and HSDPA 2100 connectivity and Sony Ericsson W508a with quad band GMS and HSDPA 850/1900/2100 connectivity – the phone also features touch-sensitive external music controls.
