The World’s Fastest Cars Tested

Autocar has the ultimate drool test for all car lovers, take 9 of the fastest cars in the world and test them on a straight road something like the Volkswagen’s Ehra-Lessien test track in northern Germany. The cars tested were -
- Bugatti Veyron EB16.4
- Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano
- Lamborghini Murciélago LP640
- Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren
- Aston Martin Vanquish S
- Porsche 911 Turbo
- Chevrolet Corvette Z06
- Dodge Viper SRT-10
- Ford GT
Without doubt the Bugatti Veyron smashed the competition and beat the second place Ferrari 599 GTB to 186mph by an astonishing 11.7 seconds. At $ 1.2 million the Veyron is the fastest production car in the world.

    well this car sure is nothing short of amazing but, ur data is wrong, you didnt even but the 1000 Coupe Dodge Henessey Viper Venom in the mix, it holds the world record for 0 to 60 in 2.56 sec, or what about the Ferrari Enzo, its top speed is way over that of the Fiorano.

    If u had put those cars in there im not so sure that the Bugatti would have won, one of those cars would have takin it instead of the Buggati, im sure

    I have to agree wit Scott.There is no way in hell Buggati can be acclaimed as the fastest.Ever heard of the Brabus TKR?Compared to that Buggati is nothing but a baby.Even the Ferrari FXX can challenge the Buggati so this guy is just talking horse manure!!!!!

    The cars in question here are production cars and not custom built ones. Not sure about the Ferrari FXX but the Veyron is officially the fastest production car in the world, for now.

    The buggati veyron has a top speed of over 405km/h. And an original, not customized Ferrari FXX would be slashed by veyron. Newslaunches is right

    my favourite supercar is the Ferrari 599 GTB fiorano because it looks really cool and fast i love it and my little brother Ryans favourite supercars are Porsche 911 turbo and the Mercedes-Benz SLR Mclaren.
