The slim, sleek and stylish Nokia E72

nokia-e72.jpg After the popularity of Nokia E71, Nokia has launched its successor, the stylish Nokia E72. Much of the phone’s design is derived form the Nokia E52 and Nokia E55 and sports a stylish QWERTY keypad. The Nokia E72 has upgraded its functionality with a 5 megapixel camera, HSUPA (up to 2Mbps) and faster HSDPA (Up to 10Mbps). It also comes with a two tri-band versions, owning to the upgraded UMTS support. The E72 has a new optical Navi key, which acts as an optical trackpad for navigating through the menu, and applications. It also acts as an electronic compass to enhance the GPS navigation experience. Despite all the added features, Nokia E72 still retains its slim, 10mm thickness, just like the Nokia N71. All the features of the E72 are at par with the N71, such as the S60 3rd edition UI, a 2.4" QVGA landscape screen, microSD card slot and FM radio. It supports connectivity features such as, WLAN, A-GPS, Bluetooth and quad-band GSM. It also has a 3.5mm standard audio jack and USB.

Nokia E72 is expected to hit the markets in the third quarter of 2009 in with a 4GB microSD card in the box and a lifetime license for Nokia messaging. The phone is available in Zodium Black, Metal Grey and Topaz Brown at a price tag of $487 without the taxes and subsidies.
