When the Gizmodiva reviewed the Wii one of the most insistent warnings was to ensure that the Wiimote be securely fastened lest it crashes into the TV. Well thankfully another option is available and it's called The Safety Shield. Manufactured by the Taiwanese TV accessories manufacturer, LCDArm, the shield is a plastic panel that fits 30-46" screens and can reduce UV rays. The panel is made from "PMMA" optical grade material that is strong enough to endure impact. The light transmissive rate is over 98%. The panel also protects against dust and scratches.

Though the pricing and availability of the Safety Shield is not known, however Gearlog assures us that an e-mail from the company suggests that the shield will surface soon.
