The perfect way of soft-boiling an egg
You can now say goodbye to runny shites and overcooked eggs as inventors have found the perfect way of soft boiling an egg. Two different inventions will soon be at our disposal starting with Lion Quality Eggs which is developing an invisible ink logo which appears on the shell in black when the egg is done. Different logos will be used for soft, medium or hard-boiled eggs. Meanwhile Ben Harris a design student from Brunei University in Dublin has developed the PerfEGG, a device that keeps water temperature constant for 8.5 minutes without reaching boiling point which lets the egg white coagulate keeping the yolk ruggy regardless of egg size.
The self timing Lion Quality Egg mark will hit stores in a couple of months and Ben Harris of PerfEGG is in plans of launching the gadget in the UK.
