Creepy as it may sound, but the OptoIsolator is quite a cool device designed by Greg Baltus from the Standard Robot Company, Pittsburgh. This innovative device consists of a box with an eye in it that can capture your eyes and follow their moves. Quite like Karr the snake, it looks in your eyes while you are watching it. Here is a video of the OptoIsolator that was showcased at the Bitforms gallery, NYC, last December. It can rake up a few laughs.

Since it is built to look like a human eye, the OptoIsolator looks directly into your eyes and gives you the notion that it is living and is interested in you. It blinks at exactly at one second after you.
