The i-mate 810-F is as tough as smartphones get
After HTC went its own way, i-mate has not been able to regain the popularity it had managed to create during its initial years. Now while HTC has created a niche in its multi functional ubercool smart phones, i-mate has decided to go the rugged way. In its new product line it has announced the Hummer inspired smart phone the 810-F. The device is built to US military standards and able to cope with pressure, heat, water, humidity and even extreme shock without a dip in performance. The handset is good for a chilly -10°C or a sweltering 60°C; it is a Windows Mobile 6.1 device with a 624 MHz PXA processor and high-speed HSDPA connectivity. It features a QWERTY keyboard, a 320 × 240 touch screen, 2.2GB of storage, a video-friendly 2 mega pixel camera, GPS, Wi-Fi, a digital compass and Bluetooth.
The i-mate 810-F will be sold at an undisclosed price with a lifetime warranty incase it underperforms.
