intel_02.jpg
Christmas has already hit Japan's Akihabara district and the electronic mecca cant have an ordinary Christmas tree. Thanks to Intel Japan the 5.2 meter tall tree is decorated with processors not 10 or 20 but an astounding 2000 processors are used to decorate the huge tree, including the latest Core 2 Duo speed demons. The tree will be on display at TX Akihabara station till December 25th so if you visit Japan do drop in.

Are those just stock processors? I can't see any sort of security.... sneak in at night.... and you've got yourself a beast of a machine.

No, they aren't. First off, they have holes drilled in them. Oops. Second, these are just faulty CPUs. Remeber, the production process isn't 100% perfect. These are basically scap metal that would end up in the junk anyway.
