The army is watching soldier’s backs with helmet mounted radar

Helmet-Mounted-Radar.jpg This may sound a bit weird, but if you look at it practically, having radars mounted on the helmets of soldiers will surely give the army an advantage of locating who is where. However, this remains good only as long as the soldiers do have their helmets on their head. The ‘low power, near 360-degree field of view Moving Target Indicators (MTI) radar sensor’ is bound to give soldiers some helpful hints about targets located up to 25 meters away. It can see through fog, smoke and dust as well. The system is called as Helmet Mounted Radar System (HMRS).

Two and a half pounds of added weight will not be much of a complain from our soldiers. However, they will look like little Martians to a few of us.
