Thanko announces 3D digital photo frame for the 3D lovers of the world

thanko_3D_digital_photo_frame.jpg Samsung has their digital TV’s and their upcoming 3D mobile phone and now Thanko, those whacky Japanese technology guys have launched a 3D digital photo frame – the USDFF7GB. It supports OS Windows XP/Vista/7 for data transfer via PC and is equipped with a 7-inch LCD that sports an 800×480 pixel resolution. Like some other digital photo frames, Thanko’s will also support AVI and MPEG (@30fps) playback for videos as well as of course JPEG for images. An option to switch between standard 2D to 3D mode is also available. Aside from the remote control, the frame also has a set of touch-sensitive keys on one side. It’s even got a slot of memory cards and USB (up to 16GB). The built in battery should offer users about 4 hours of video on a single charge. Unfortunately it doesn’t ‘play’ well with images and video captured via Fujipix’s 3D camera. You’ll have to use the bundled “Blaze for 2D Video Magic” software to import them onto the device.

The USDFF7GB 3D Digital Photo Frame will set you back about 29,800 Yen which works out to about $322 (USD).
