9) Soul Calibur IV (PS3, Xbox 360)
The main concept of the game is to perfect the "cool action" for which the series is known. The game hopes to push the boundaries in visuals, animation, sound and programming technology. Bandai Namco is currently looking into including support for the high resolution mode.
8) Mario Kart (Wii)
Every hardcore Mario fans desire… Nintendo is still calling this a 16-player online multiplayer effort, and the inclusion of motorcycles could make or break the game.
7) GTA IV (PS3, Xbox 360)
Another feather in the Grand Theft Auto series; controversy's favorite child. This time around we expect a fun experience, if not a predictable one.
6) Burnout Paradise (PS3, Xbox 360)
With amazing graphics promised, Burnout Paradise will be out in stores on January 22, 2008. You can pre-order this game now, but incase you want to sample the treat; a demo is available at the official site. Discover jumps, billboards and smashable targets all over Motor City, Big Surf Beach and Ocean View in search of the fastest Burnout Route in the Hunter Cavalry car. Also, attempt your shot at a race and check out the all-new Stunt Run mode.

5) Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)
Although Nintendo intended a Christmas release date for this game, it has been postponed to 2008, to give that extra sheen. The game will include Pit from Kid Icarus, Snake from Metal Gear Solid and Sonic from Sonic the Hedgehog. As with its predecessors, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is a departure from traditional fighting games, it features simplified move commands and its emphasis on ring outs over knockouts. It will include a deeper single-player mode than its predecessors. Known as The Subspace Emissary, this mode is a plot driven side-scrolling video game featuring Brawl's playable characters. The game supports multiplayer battles with up to four combatants, and will be the first game of its franchise to support online battles through Nintendo WiFi Connection. It will be out in North America on 10 th February 2008.
4) Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, PSP, NDS, N-Gage)
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, a videogame developed by LucasArts, puts the players as Darth Vader's "Secret Apprentice" and promises to unveil new revelations about the Star Wars galaxy. The game is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. The players will assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi - and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny.

3) Fallout 3 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
Fallout 3, like the rest of the tribe takes place in post-apocalyptic United States. The player character is a member of Vault 101, a fallout shelter serving Washington D.C. One day, the player wakes up finding that his father has left the vault and ventured into the wasteland for unknown reasons. Wishing to uncover the mystery behind his father's departure, the player leaves the protection of the vault as well in search of his father's whereabouts. It will be out in the fourth quarter of 2008.
2) Resident Evil 5 (PS3, Xbox 360)
Developed by Capcom, the game apparently has been pushed to a 2009 release. The game's setting is said to have a similar feel to the movie Black Hawk Down. Resident Evil 5 will be an actual sequel to the Resident Evil series. The main playable character is Chris Redfield and the game takes place ten years after the events of the original Resident Evil. The story will explore Chris' life during the ten year interval between the two games. During the game's events, he is a member of a group known as BSAA, and sent to investigate an incident in a desert area that serves as the game's setting. The producers have revealed that a female character from the series will appear in the game, she briefly appears at the end of the trailer.
1) Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3)
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is being designed around the motto, "No Place to Hide!", it is set in 2014, five years after the "Manhattan Incident" (the events of the Plant chapter from Metal Gear Solid 2). The game portrays a world where the restriction of military intervention on foreign soil has been eased, fueling the need for private military companies (PMCs) to fight proxy wars for business purposes. Nanotechnology has become prominent, both to enhance the capabilities and enforce the loyalty of mercenaries. The game will be out in the second quarter of 2008.
