The designers of the Australian company Tiller + Tiller have introduced the TeleMaxIII, which is a universal TV remote control and hands free phone packaged in to one device. This sleek, compact, easy to use, unbreakable and spillage proof device is shaped like a small tray with handles either side facilitates easy grip. It features the latest ergonomic principles for comfort and function. The button controls are large, and intentionally limited in number. The keys include normal keypad layout 1-9, a mute button, a large power button and sliding arrows for channels and volume control. The buttons have raised black lettering, which protrude from a white illuminated background face. All these modifications are to help those with visual and physical disability. When there is an incoming call the television automatically goes into mute mode. Emergency numbers can be programmed into the system for instant access.

After three years of research, design and prototyping, Tiller + Tiller hope the TeleMax range of products will be available worldwide in around 18 months. No pricing has been set at this point.
