Stolen iPhone recovered using iPhone 3.0’s ‘Find my Phone’
A lot of us have been scrutinizing the features added to the iPhone’s new driving force, version 3.0. So far, there hasn’t really been a wave, just ripples created by the ‘oohs’ and the ‘aahs’ that followed the revelation of some really cool specs. However, the who things has been shaken up by this story that was posted on a blog, it tells about how a certain Kevin Miller managed to recover his iPhone with the help of the ‘Find my Phone’ feature in v3.0. All it took was a MacBook Pro, a Sprint 3G card and an incredibly daft thief (who kept the phone on after stealing it). Impressive writing, though it almost seems made up. Darn it! I should start working on building my trust on beautiful brands.
Mr. Miller was in Chicago for a Lego Convention with two of his friends when the incident occurred. The full story can be read here.
