Star Trek fans get USS Enterprise webcam to go into cyberspace, the final frontier

startrek-webcam.jpg Star Wars has been taking center stage in the technology department it would seem, with more and more Star Wars themed devices, apparel et al are making the scene almost on a daily basis. But what about the Trekies? Those loyal fans of the USS Enterprise and it’s journey to boldly go where no man has gone before must be feeling a bit lost. However ThinkGeek has a great solution in the form of a Web-cam designed like the famous USS Enterprise star ship. It’s designed to be clipped to your monitor and in the spirit of staying authentic, the clip is also shaped like a Star Trek, Original Series badge. The camera features a two LED red lights for visibility in low light conditions and a bendable gooseneck extension for adjusting it. It’s a 300k pixel camera: 30 frames per second fully compatible with Windows XP, Vista, and Mac and works with all chat applications that have video chatt ing options. It’s going for $22.99 at ThinkGeek. If only they could do the same with the Millennium Falcon as well. startrek-webcam2.jpg
