Spend your money through cashless cardless transactions, use your iPhone

icarte.jpg The iPhone’s external accessories market is a radically growing environment. It seems like they’re think up almost anything and everything to make the device as handy as technologically possible. The latest is from a company Wireless Dynamics that specializes in NFC (Near Field Communications) and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) type technology, who have designed a little attachment for the iPhone called iCarte 110. What this system and technology does is allow users with an iPhone to attach the device and with its Reader/Writer capabilities actually make contactless payments for goods or services. The iCarte contains an embedded smart-chip which can be configured as debit, credit, pre-paid and loyalty cards turning the iPhone into an electronic wallet. Business users can use the iPhone and iCarte for commercial applications such as asset tracking, document tracking, healthcare, security and access control.

The iCarte works with iPhone 3G and 3GS with OS version 3.0 or higher and has a mini-USB connector that can be used to charge the iPhone and sync with iTunes. So what the iPhone is also doing now is getting rid of what it must be assuming to be dead weight, i.e. your and offer a new, advanced and futuristic way to spend your money amongst other things. I think Steve Jobs is trying to take over the world. Wait… I think he has!
