Sony’s new VAIO features an accelerometer to help you read long documents

sony-vaio-p-2.jpg I’m not sure why, but Sony’s latest VAIO netbook in the P series, is shipping with a built in accelerometer. It’s a little strange for a netbook but I the idea is to allow users to read lengthier documents by flipping the device to portrait. The new range will come in a slew of funky colors viz. black, white, pink, green and orange. It’ll feature an optical touchpad and mouse buttons built right into the LCD bezel. Processor options range from the entry-level 1.6GHz Atom Z530 to the 2.13GHz Atom Z560. It’s going to run on a Windows 7 Home Premium edition and also comes with built in GPS and 3G. There’s been no word on the price just yet, but as netbooks go, this one is quite the looker. sony-vaio-p-3.jpg sony-vaio-p-4.jpg sony-vaio-p-5.jpg sony-vaio-p-6.jpg sony-vaio-p-7.jpg
