Sony Xperia S announced at CES
After Xperia ion, Sony has unveiled its new Xperia S smartphone for US at CES targeted specifically for US markets. Featuring a 4.3" display of HD resolution (720x1280 pixels), the handset is driven by a 1.5GHz dual-core MSM8260 processor and comes with 1GB RAM. Other specs include offers 16GB or 32GB of internal storage sans any expansion option, 12MP rear camera with Exmor R backlit sensor, and 1.3MP front-facing camera. The phone will initially ship with Android 2.3 and will eventually get the Android 4.0 ICS update in the second half of 2012. The handset should hit stores by the end of Q1 this year in two color options of silver and black.
