Sony Japan has announced the XDV-100 AM / FM tuner which looks more like a PMP. The pocket sized device sports a 2.83 inch color display supporting a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. However you dont get a color display for just listening to radio as the XDV-100 packs in a 1 Seg TV tuner too so you can catch up your favourite TV programs on the move. Unfortunately it does not have onboard memory so you cannot record TV programming. For easy menu access and tuning it has a jog dial near the display. In addition to the earphone jack it has a mono speaker. The onboard Lithium Ion battery has enough juice for 5 hours of TV viewing and 25 hours of radio.

The Sony XDV-100 tuner will be available in silver and black color. The unit measures 98.3×15.1×61mm and weighs 110 grams. It goes on sale by April 15 for 40,000 Yen ($ 345).
