Sony is all set to woo Japanese kids with the Gachapin special edition Walkman. Just like Hello Kitty, Pokemon and Doraemon, Gachapin is a favourite with kids in Japan. The lime green E series MP3 Walkman will be available in 512 MB and 1 GB versions. It will be bundled with a Gachapin shaped cloth case and a carrying pouch. Available in limited quantities Sony will be offering only 200 1GB and 300 512MB players.

The Walkman E series Gachapin edition is a Japan only product with the 1GB selling for 16,590 Yen ($ 135) and 512MB for 13,560 Yen ($ 110).
