Sony Vaio G series - Zippy business notebook

To target business users Sony has a new weapon in its arsenal the Vaio G series. Its USP is instead of a traditional hard drive it packs in a much faster and convenient flash drive. Instead of a 40 Gig hard drive you get a 32 GB SSD (Solid State drive) which cuts down the weight and boosts battery life by approximately 30 minutes. Specs include Intel Core Solo processor, Intel 945GMS Express chipset, 3 in 1 card slot, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi and a 12.1 inch LCD (1024 x 768). The system runs on Windows Vista Business and has a battery life of 12 hours with the special battery pack.


The Sony Vaio G series is available in Japan only for 229,800 Yen ($ 1930). It measures 277×215×23.5 - 25.5mm and weighs a mere 856 grams.
