Sony to delve into "Wearable" Walkmans for comfort and budget

sony.jpg Sony W-series Walkman is taking a ride to the other side of town, and hopefully we will get to see a budget iteration that looks pleasing to the eye with specs to match. Besides the predicted $50-75 price range, the Walkman sports a very sleek wrap around earphone that has magnetic connectors on each end to keep it bound together when not in use, thus forming a very distinguishing heart shape. The earphones are 13.5mm EX quality, and supports MP3, AAC, WMA (w/ DRM) and PCM. The ZAPPIN technology included in the player allows you to play a series of short music clips from your own music library until you can find what you're looking for.

Apparently this new Walkman from Sony offers 2GB storage, and some awesome battery life and minimal charging requirement. A three-minute dose will give you a ninety-minute charge, while thirty minutes of juicing will give you twelve-hour continuous playback.
