Sony System 501 high end audio systems

Sony Japan is all set to take on Nakamichi, Onkyo and even Bose with its System 501 series of high end audio components. We start with the TA-F501 digital amplifier which delivers an output of 50W×2ch. The unit includes Digital Cinema Auto Calibration (DCAC) which uses 2 microphones which determine the distance and volume balance of speakers in high speed for optimum sound quality. The 2 channel amplifier supports Dolby Digital and the amplifier DTS and AAC. It delivers a sound frequency of 10Hz - 40kHz (±3dB/8 Ω) and has a signal to noise ratio of 96dB. Then comes the SCD-X501 SACD player, SACD stands for Super Audio Compact Disk a format developed by Sony and Philips which bombed just like Betamax and Mini Disc. The CD player's chassis is made from a 2mm thick metal whereas the faceplate is made of brass. It delivers 2 and 5.1 channel analog output. Last in the set is the SS-K10ED speaker set. The 2 way speakers have a 12cms wide woofer and 2.5 cms wide tweeter. The woofer diaphragm is made from aramide fiber and the tweeter diaphragm is made from carbon graphite composite. The playback frequency is 45Hz - 70kHz with an impedance of 8 Ω.
