Rumors of the next PSP console have been doing rounds on the Internet since quite some time. All kinds of designs are swirling around including a slider-style PSP, touchscreen PSP and a PSP with HDD. The latest buzz to hit rumorville is that Sony is announcing something new this June at the E3 2009. It wont be the PSP-4000 or the PSP-2 but something new.

What ever it is Sony needs to be careful not to get eaten alive by Apple with the new iPhone. Apple is moving into portable gaming really fast. If the new Apple iPhone 2009. The hole 10 year hardware platform life-cycle thing is just not working anymore when other companies release new hardware each year.
