Sony Japan is out with the MDR-EX36SC which includes a pair of ear canal earphones along with a protective case which doubles as a speaker. A weird but useful combination. No fancy features as the speaker is a passive one. The Sony MDR-EX36SC will be available in white and black colors in Japan starting February 10 for 3675 Yen ($ 38).
