Sony launches new Bravia LCDs and rear projection TVs

Sony Japan is on a releasing spree today and has churned out a whole lot of Bravia LCD's and three projection TV's. Starting with the S and V series of Bravia LCD's they will have three models each of 32", 40" and 46" inches. Only the 46" and 40" V series model will support full HD resolution at 1920 x 1080 pixels. The entire S series along with 32 inch model from V series will support 1,366 x 768 pixels. The top of the line X2500 series will come in 40", 46" and 52" sizes and support full HD. It will include a high quality image conversion engine which converts all input signals to 1080p. In addition to this they sport a Digital tuner, 3 HDMI terminals all enclosed in a sleek and sexy silver / black body.

The A2500 rear projection TV's will be available in 60" and 50" sizes and support full HD resolution. The A2500 will include a new optical engine with a contrast ratio of 10000:1. The A series will be available from September 15 with the 50" selling for 500,000 Yen and 60" for 600,000 Yen along with the 40 and 46 inch X series for 450,000 Yen and 550,000 Yen respectively.
