Sony Ericsson Walkman & Cyberhot Phones to have Self cleaning displays
According to the patent filed by Sony Ericsson, their new phones will incorporate a cleaning slider to the display and will work in conjunction with the opening/sliding mechanism of the phone. Evidently, when the phone is open, the slider rests at the top of the screen. When you close the flip-phone, the slider moves to the bottom of the display; thus wiping it clean. And then wipes it once more when you are opening the phone again. The same process works with the slider phone form factor.
When you slide open/closed the keyboard, cleaning slider moves through the display wiping it clean.
