Sony Japan has announced the DVP-FX850 portable DVD player, with tons of PMP's around I wonder if there is a market for these. Anyways coming to the specs it has a supercrisp 8 inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It can playback DVD±R/RW and DVD±R DL discs along with Audio CD's. It has a USB port for connecting DAP's and Pen drives for playback of MP3 / Jpeg files. The LCD display is mounted on a dual axis system for 180 degree rotation. It comes with a remote control, AV out, headphone terminal and a built in speaker.

The Sony DVP-FX850 measures 226×165×32mm and weighs 1.05 kg. It goes on sale in Japan from May 1st for 35,000 Yen ($ 300).
