The Sony BDP-S1 that showed up a while back wasn’t exactly a best seller. However, we cannot blame any kind of bad decisions by the buyers. If gizmos come at such high prices as this one, we can expect the same. The result: a sad collection of unsold BDP-S1s stashed and kept for further disposal. Hope they end up running a clearance sale. To amend the sales approach followed earlier, Sony has bought out the BDP-S1. This system promises to make it pretty big among the Blu-ray fans. It has a second Blu-ray disk player and supports AVC-HD in playback of content with Sony x.v.Color. Well, they also have a pretty brilliant and sophisticated remote that travels in the packing of this one.

I wonder how the coming of this one will taunt those who generously handed the $1000 to the sales guy for the earlier rendition.
