Tired and done out with the W-Series phones by Sony’s left wing, Sony Ericsson, I really wished to see something by the company by itself. Thankfully, we have this lovely, promising Walkman line from Sony. Formally known as the NW-A840 series, the PMPs come with 2.8 inch displays, okay, take a deep breath, these are WQVGA OLED displays that will come on each of the players. It also holds the tall claim of being the thinnest walkman ever with just 7.2 mm of thickness. It will be available in three versions: 16 (NW-A845 ), 32 (NW-A846) and 64 GB (NW-A847).
The A-Series walkmans from Sony will support scores of formats like MP3, WMA, AAC, HE-AAC, ATRAC, ATRAC AL, PCM/wav, AVC (H2.64), MPEG-4 and WMV. The bad news is that it will most probably be available only in Japan from October 31st onwards.
