Softbank launches digital TV tuner for iPad and iPhone

The Japanese love the iPhone and the iPads, but they also love catching up on their favorite TV shows when on the move. To bridge the gap and deliver the best of both words, Japanese telecom giant Softbank has unveiled a digital TV tuner for the 'i' devices. A bit smaller than the Mac Mini it has a built in digital tuner which streams the TV content over Wi-Fi which can be viewed on the iPhone / iPad using the company's application StationTV i which is a free download from the App store. The user can also surf the web using 3G when watching the TV. A Japan only product the Softbank tuner goes on sale tomorrow for 15,800 Yen ($ 200).
