A recent poll declared that the iPhone 3G as the clear favorite for a camera phone and maximum pictures on Flickr are uploaded using it. The only hindrance using this phone as a camera is the lack of flash. This is easily solved with the SnaptureFlash, an external Xenon flash for the iPhone. Slim in structure, the accessory adds just 3/8-inch to the bottom of the phone. The Xenon Flash provides50,000 lux brightness and also features an additional LED bulb that can be used for video recording or a really dim photoflash. While on the face of it, the flash sounds like a very cool deal, there is a stumble to this item. The SnaptureFlash will only work with the Snapture app and any other jailbroken apps that have the proper drivers—no official apps could support the hardware without breaking the app store agreement.
The area where SnaptureFlash could improve: The external hardware which currently lacks app store support.
