Smoke Block mask by Rescuenow protects from toxic gases
Japan has a history of mass suicidal attacks like the subway tragedy, where a toxic gas was leaked at the subway station and many innocent died. Fearing such situations, Tokyo-based Rescuenow, Inc. has come out with the new "Smoke Block" emergency mask. It provides protection against hydrogen sulfide, the latest "detergent suicide" gas created by mixing household cleaners. The mask has a special three-layer filter that keeps your lungs clean for up to 20 minutes, giving you sufficient time to flee from smoke or toxic fumes.
A full-face Smoke Block mask sells for 20,000 yen ($185) and a half-face version goes for 14,000 yen ($130).
