Skuku- first soft phone independent of cellular operators

Skuku.jpg Skuku is the first soft phone roaming solution independent of and unrelated to any cellular operator. EIM Telecom has introduced it. The solution combines GSM technology with the Internet and allows you to make VoIP and IM calls via the Internet and PC. It works this way; the Skuku stick (a USB device) turns a PC into a mobile phone once a SIM-card is inserted. So essentially you pay only the local airtime charges when making and receiving calls from your home country. You get to keep own personal phone number and enjoy all the benefits of your mobile phone, including contact lists and text messaging. Skuku stick also lets you receive and make international calls from anywhere in the world at low IP tariffs, while inter-network calls are free.

"Keeping your own phone number and being within reach for anyone who calls are very important when traveling. Skuku removes the limitations of a closed network software, while at the same time offering low IP tariffs on all calls, We are very proud to offer Skuku as the first solution of this kind," said Mr. Pini Peter, C.E.O of EIM Telecom.
