You have to admit that there is no smoke without fire. So when the rumors of the Google Phone begin to flare up, we bloggers go into overdrive and the speculations begin. Adding fodder to the rumors this time around is that Google may be working with working with Taiwanese handset manufacturer HTC to produce a phone with a Google-approved OS and applications. This seems to tie up the general conception that Google will not develop its own hardware, but would instead work with another manufacturer and then supply its own OS. If we go by some claims then, the phone will supposedly be based on a mobile variant of Linux, and will support Java apps. Also there will be a search browser with pan-and-browse features, something like the one on the iPhone.

The rumors on the Google Phone even include the possibilities of Google's applications like Google Maps, GMail, and even Google Docs onboard. Lets wait and watch!
