Another Japanese phone which we can just dream about. The Sharp SH001 from KDDi telecom is a digital camera substitute. The clamshell packs in a 8 Megapixel camera and has majority of functions you would expect from an entry level digital camera. Sharp has loaded it with 'ProPix' a proprietary picture conversion engine, auto focus and face recognition. The phone has 740 MB of internal memory which can be further expanded by a 2GB Micro SD card. The phone is targeted at 20 - 30 year old females. If the powerful camera wont appeal to them then the gossip feature surely will. With the Gossip feature activates noise canceling so you can be audible even when speaking slowly in crowded and noisy places like subway etc. Other features include GPS with Easy Nabi walk, music download service and E-wallet. The SH001 will be made available in three colors white, pink and black later this year in Japan for 40,000 Yen ($ 450).
